Bashing the bashers: Queer and trans folk fight back

First off, I’d like to state that I don’t condone violence, these videos truly have me conflicted.  To be honest, I’m sitting at my computer right now, trying to piece together what I’m feeling so it will make sense in a blog post.

If you can’t or don’t want to watch the videos, I’ll summarize what happens.  In the first video, a man is getting beat up by a trans woman.  This man allegedly said “That’s a man.”  While I don’t believe that woman deserved to have her identity and gender questioned and invalidated in such a way, I don’t think that man deserved to get the shit kicked out of him either.  At the same time, seeing how he called her a bitch after she kicked his ass, I somehow don’t think a verbal debate or something of the like would have done much good, either.  The second video is more difficult to discern what happened.  There are so many people in the video and in the actual attack that it’s hard to make out what went on.  In both videos, the actual events leading up to the attacks aren’t shown, so we’re basing this all on the what the posters of the videos are saying happened.

While it makes me proud to see queer and trans people standing up for themselves in such situations, (and I’m in no way saying they haven’t before) I’m also disappointed that it had to come blows. I can only speculate what was going through these people’s heads when it happened.  Maybe they had a bad day, and this was just the straw that broke the camels back, but I think it’s more than likely that they were just sick of being a target for macho douchebags to use to assert their heterosexuality and masculinity.  I truly hope that the actions of these individuals make people think twice before they start something like that.  At the same time, I still believe that violence isn’t warranted unless it’s in self-defense.

It still boggles my mind that homophobic and transphobic attacks still take place in this day and age, but they do.  Stay safe friends, and take care of one another.

  1. Hey buddy i couldn’t find these Videos you were describing.
So I am indeed glad you gave them a description along with a personal opinion.
Now not seeing any of them like I just said, I do agree that respect is so very important. No one deserves to be insulted or ridiculed, and violence only begets more violence and hatred. Although part of me, the not so good part, smiled at the thoughts that must have gone through the pummeled guy who thought there’d be No Consequences for his big mouth.. for there usually isn’t. They usually get to say every rude and insensitive remark that comes to them without any retribution. It’s usually ‘our end’ that gets the beatings – so to know we actually got the better end of one of em makes the angry-part of me a bit gleeful.

I also wanted to add that if you haven’t seen this one yet – or heard about these Muslim kids who were hung by portable trucks driven to the location – their crimes? at 14 and 16 years old, they were ‘caught’ experimenting in homosexual acts.
    The age of Legal-Responsibility?
15 for Boys… and 9 for Girls. < (Nine for Girls!!)
Anyway.. They were detained, received 216 Lashes Each – Afterwards (shockingly) they both confessed to their 'crimes'. They were held for 14 months in which Guards assaulted them daily, raping them like they were animals – for to them, that's what these kids were – Nothing more than spoiled goods in their eyes to be done with according to hourly whims.
I wonder if Death was not by then, a welcomed friend.

For after 14 months they were now Both over 15 years old and so could be legally and 'morally' be executed
    - Both were brought onto the portable trucks driven to there for this one purpose. Their blind folds appear to have been removed prior to the trucks driving them off of their standing-point, leaving them to choke to death for 3-4 minutes. When you check this out in YouTube? anyone? Please take a few extra moments to learn about the women/girls and how not even the Parka can keep filthy rapists off of them.
    ah.. Extremists.

Any time you take ANYTHING beyond which it was intended, what good can possibly come out of it? There's never 'extreme love' or 'extreme assistance'. This must have JUST happened right? Or maybe a long time ago since there was little if Any word of this.
It was about 6 years or so ago. Where were you?
    What can we do?
    .

This link is to this YouTube but it is of pictures and words – no graphic video – just obscene knowledge described in words and in several pictures.

Iranian teenager executions – not the 16 year old who claims he was raped by an older man in QOM Iran, they were both executed as well. This is of two BOYS, they were 14 and 16:

May God grant us all compassion, wisdom and Love for one another, friend and foe alike. Peace.

  2. Oh Ok.. I saw them both now. Wish they were better quality – or a more clear ass-kicking. Just saying if I’m gonna Watch an arss-kicking I want to See and arss-kicking! :) I liked your description Better! But point still the same. thanks for bringing it to my attention
